Overview
Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer II in the Charlotte, NC/Greenville, SC area to promote and sell Mitsubishi Electric Automation products throughout the region. Responsible to grow MEAU revenue and increase market share in all product categories including Services, Programmable Logic Controllers, Variable Frequency Drives, Servo & Motion Controller, CNC, Human Machine Interfaces, Robots, Data Acquisition Solutions, and Low Voltage Control Products.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Prospect for potential customers through various direct and indirect methods, working independently (80%) and with Partners (20%) to develop new prospects that will lead to wins and significant opportunities for growth
- Work with qualified System Integrators in the Mitsubishi Electric System Integrator Program (MESIP) as needed to support OEM conversion activity and project-related business
- Develop target account plans outlining sales strategy specific for each account and quickly establish relationships with those accounts and develop sales opportunities
- Conduct demonstrations, present technical information, and prepare proposals during the sales process
- Work with Field Application Engineers to develop solutions that address customer needs
- Travel 40%–60% of the time, based on customer demand within the assigned region. Travel outside of the region may also be occasionally required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years Application Solution Sales experience with End Users and OEM customers
- Product knowledge/application experience in PLC, VFD, HMI, Servo/Motion, Network, Robots and SCADA products
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Solid, proven leadership skills
- Computer proficiency with MS Office components:
Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point - Digital media proficiency (Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, etc.)
- Sales process training such as Wilson CSP or equivalent
- Product knowledge/application experience with Services and CNC
- Must be physically able to travel, including the ability to sit for extended periods of time for travel, operate a motor vehicle for both short and long distances and fly via commercial flights, both nationally and internationally as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently for activities such as moving and setting up demos
- Ability to communicate clearly and present to large groups effectively – in person and virtually
- Ability to engage in social interactions with clients and colleagues and recognize social or professional behavioral cues
