Join to apply for the Civil/Roadway Engineer role at STV
. STV has an immediate need in our Charlotte or Raleigh, NC office for a Civil / Roadway Engineer in our Transportation Division. The successful candidate will provide professional design services for transportation improvement projects for municipal agencies and NCDOT.
- Provide professional design services for transportation improvement projects for municipal agencies and NCDOT.
- Design roadway geometry and details, drainage, traffic control, pavement markings, and signing for transportation infrastructure.
- Interact with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams.
- Design using Micro Station; experience in Open Roads (ORD) is a plus.
- Coordinate design development and assist with technical direction to other design staff.
- Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget.
- Assist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.
- Establish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and project managers.
- Mentor supporting Civil design staff.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in all technical aspects of roadway design including highway, reduced conflict intersections, roundabouts, intersections, widenings, and bike/ped design.
- Experience with Micro Station and Geopak required; familiarity with Open Roads Designer is a plus.
- Familiarity with the latest edition of AASHTO Green Book and MUTCD.
- Experience with NCDOT and other NC municipalities is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- NC PE license is required.
