Position Title
Overhead Transmission Line Design Engineer

Job SummaryConducts research in complex, high‑impact technical or scientific fields. Key responsibilities and requirements include independent work on technical activities without direct supervision, technical searches and analysis, responsibility for highly specialized technical objectives where cause and effect relationships are difficult to establish, applying expertise across related disciplines, and developing creative solutions.
Responsibilities- Work independently on technical activities without direct supervision.
- Conduct technical searches and analyze information to support the project team.
- Demonstrate responsibility for highly specialized technical objectives where cause and effect relationships are difficult to establish.
- Apply technical expertise and have full knowledge of related disciplines.
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems requiring ingenuity and creativity.
- Provide assistance to the EPRI sales staff in Member Services and EPRI International.
- Communicate strategies and results, written and verbal, to program members, potential members and external stakeholders through various channels.
- Ensure concurrent work is informed across EPRI programs.
- May provide oversight of a project team to assure technical and financial milestones are met.
- Organize external and interdepartmental activities to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
- Support planning and execution of complex project work within the technical department.
- Prepare and present research reports.
- Manage small or medium projects including budgets and resources.
- Begin interfacing with national and international technical networks.
- Support proposal efforts and new promotional work.
- Develop research or services opportunities for EPRI members that fit EPRI's mission.
- Continue to provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Developed relationships with primary advisors to a research area.
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
