Job DescriptionThe Assistant Electrical Engineer (or Energy & Utilities Analyst) will work under the supervision of a consultant or project manager to assist with developing solutions to technical and economic challenges encountered by our energy and utility clients. The Energy & Utilities Analyst will assist with power system studies that evaluate power plants (both fossil fuel and renewable) and delivery systems (transmission and distribution).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, power supply planning, due diligence, performance and benchmarking evaluations, site assessments, investment planning, condition assessments, financial cost/benefit evaluations, and renewable development.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited program.
- Preferably from an ABET-accredited program.
- Internship or consulting experience preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to detail, teamwork, and leadership qualities.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
- Legal authorization to work in the specified country.
This role is full-time, based in Atlanta, GA, or Charlotte, NC, with travel expected up to 10%. The position is open until filled, with a minimum posting duration of 72 hours.
