Schedule:
Four 9‑hour workdays and a half‑day on Fridays.
Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain within 6 months), and have 10+ years of roadway design and project management experience.

Job DescriptionOur client is seeking an experienced Roadway Design Project Manager to join their Charlotte team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional ready to lead high‑impact transportation projects, collaborate directly with clients, and mentor junior engineers.
- Manage roadway design projects, including highways, arterials, intersections, and interchanges
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, scopes, and deliverables
- Ensure compliance with NCDOT and FHWA standards
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as primary point of contact
- Lead proposal development and contribute to business development activities
- Mentor and train junior engineering staff
- Utilize design software such as Micro Station, Geo Pak, and Open Roads
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
- P.E. license in NC (or ability to secure within 6 months)
- 10+ years of roadway design and project management experience
- Strong background with Micro Station, Geo Pak, Open Roads, CAD, and Microsoft Office
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
