OverviewThe Project Scheduler will provide technical assistance in creating and updating CPM schedules at all phases of each project, from conceptual to close-out. You will be Sundt Construction's in-house scheduling expert, coordinating schedule creation and updates with the project superintendent. The Project Scheduler produces and delivers CPM schedule reports to the project team and may supervise one or more Project Scheduler assistants.
Two experience levels are defined:
Project Scheduler I (3–5 years CPM scheduling) and Project Scheduler Sr. (5+ years CPM scheduling).
- Assist in the development of claims by analyzing project CPM schedule performance.
- Assist the Project Superintendent with incorporating design conflicts and clarifications into the CPM schedule.
- Assist in managing the CPM schedule for successful project execution, coordinating means and methods, manpower, equipment and material resources.
- Conduct project CPM schedule review meetings at proposal, baseline and update phases.
- Create the baseline schedule using logic and sequence information from the project superintendent.
- Develop proposal phase CPM schedules from project information provided by estimating and historical data.
- Produce a final as-built CPM schedule at project completion.
- Provide monthly CPM schedule status reports to the general manager.
- Regularly update and maintain the historical CPM schedule database.
- Revise each project CPM schedule on a weekly basis from superintendent reports.
Job Requirements
- Excellent communication, organizational and supervisory skills are essential.
- Five years or more of CPM scheduling experience in similar types of construction.
- Four-year construction management or engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience.
- Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
- Thorough knowledge of construction aspects, scheduling systems, negotiations, engineering and cost control schedules.

- Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required (steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).
- May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist frequently.
- May stoop, kneel, or bend occasionally.
- May use telephone, computer system, email, or other electronic devices to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors.
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- Occasionally will climb stairs, ladders, etc.
- Will interact with people frequently during a shift/work day.
- Will lift, push or pull objects occasionally.
- Will sit, stand or walk short distances for the duration of a shift/work day.
