Note: This position requires employees to be on-site five days a week at the Charlotte, NC office.
Note: The qualified candidate for this position must have at least 3 years of experience in HVAC/mechanical estimating within the construction industry.

Job Description
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
- Review blueprints, technical specifications, and scopes of work to determine requirements
- Conduct material takeoffs and ensure precise quantities are included in project bids
- Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes to build competitive proposals
- Provide value engineering recommendations to balance cost, quality, and project goals
- Maintain knowledge of current labor rates, material costs, and market conditions
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to refine project details
- Submit comprehensive bid packages and assist with post-bid activities such as cost tracking and change orders
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered
- 3+ years of HVAC/mechanical estimating experience in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and installation processes
- Proficiency with estimating software (FAS EST, Bluebeam, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
