Digital Delivery Content Creation Specialist
Join the Building Engineering Services (BES) Professional Services group to advance the Digital Delivery content initiative. This role focuses on creating, coordinating, and managing digital content assets—including Revit families, detail components, symbols, schedules, and detailed models—across multiple disciplines. You will work closely with the BES Content Lead and cross‑functional teams to standardize and improve content quality, support content adoption, and contribute to the BES Digital Delivery program.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Content Lead in evaluating current content assets and identifying content‑related needs.
- Create and manage parametric Revit MEP content (Families, Detail Components, Symbols, Schedules, Legends, Parameters, and Standard Details).
- Evaluate and update existing content assets with MEP disciplines.
- Provide technical expertise to develop content strategies and advise on best practices.
- Assist teams in applying content management strategies and improving consistency and quality.
- Develop and administer content approval processes with the Content Lead.
- Consult with production staff to harvest, vet, update, and publish proven content to the content management system.
- Capture and review project‑developed content for inclusion in HDR standard libraries.
- Collaborate with digital teams from other HDR business groups.
- Stay informed of the latest industry trends regarding content creation and management.
- Collaborate between multiple disciplines both virtually and in person.
- Attend and support workshops on content creation and management.
- Participate in industry user groups/organizations and contribute to training module development.
- Represent HDR at internal and industry events.
- Experience in the Architecture, Engineering or Construction industry.
- Preference for candidates with an MEP background.
- Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and ACC required.
- Experience with content management systems (Avail, ACC, or UNIFI) is a plus.
- Portfolio of content creation examples is a plus.
- Familiarity with Autodesk products: ACC, Navisworks, Civil 3D, and Dynamo is a plus.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Revit add‑ins (Ideate, Rushforth, Guardian, etc.) preferred.
- Experience with MS Excel required.
- Familiarity with MS One Note, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint is a plus.
- Familiarity with industry standards for BIM content and data management is a plus.
- Preference for candidates with demonstrated ability to operate Revit.
- Aptitude toward technology and analytical problem‑solving skills.
- Strong oral and written interpersonal communication skills.
- Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) and 3 years digital delivery (model management) experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and building system operations.
- Advanced skill set in 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
- Advanced skill set in 3D coordination tools and Microsoft Office products.
- Familiarity with industry standards, practices, codes, and specifications.
- Experience with basic automation and programming applications to enhance efficiencies.
- Familiarity with 3D design software add‑ins and supporting applications.
Familiarity with content creation and management concepts. - Superior client service, communication, and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills for technical support roles.
