Position OverviewThey are seeking a motivated Junior Forensic Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for an early‑career engineer passionate about failure investigations, building diagnostics, and structural or building‑enclosure performance
. You will support senior engineers in investigating damage, defects, and performance issues across various building types.
- Assist with forensic investigations involving structures, building envelopes, and construction performance.
- Conduct field inspections and document structural or enclosure conditions.
- Support diagnostic testing such as moisture mapping, roofing assessments, and material evaluations.
- Help analyze potential causes of building failures, damage, or performance deficiencies.
- Contribute to detailed technical reports outlining findings and recommended solutions.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team including architects, structural engineers, and building‑science specialists.
- Maintain accuracy, professionalism, and high technical standards in all workli>
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural Engineering
, or related field. - Engineer‑in‑Training (
EIT
) credential or intent to obtain. - Strong interest in forensic engineering, building diagnostics, construction materials, and structural analysis.
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
- Ability to travel for field investigations.
- Curiosity, strong analytical thinking, and eagerness to learn from experienced forensic engineers.
