About the job Structural Engineer in TrainingA well-established Engineering and construction firm specializing in infrastructure repair and improvement projects, including roadway and bridge design, is looking for Structural EITs to join its growing team.

- Possess an in-depth understanding and ability to analyze and design according to current design codes, design criteria, and structural mechanics
- Design permanent structures such as bridges, sign foundations, moment slabs, MSE walls, etc
- Design temporary structures, including but not limited to:
- Formwork/Falsework Design
- Erection, Demolition, and Heavy Lift Planning
- Support of Excavation Systems
- Load Rating and Evaluation of Existing Structures
- Temporary Bridges and Work Trestles
- Fall Protection Systems
- Barge Analysis
- Provide on-site design engineering support and inspections
- Coordinate with Project Engineers and Project Managers to resolve issues
- Assist with material and shop drawing submittals
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university (Masters Degree or greater is preferred)
- 0-2 years of relevant engineering experience
- Experience with permanent and temporary structures, construction engineering, or construction labor is a plus
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or the ability to do so within the first year of employment
- Strong understanding of constructability and academic knowledge of structural engineering
- Experience with engineering design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Micro Station, RISA-3D, MathCAD, Sky Civ, etc
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Team player and self-motivated to achieve success
