Principal Consultant - Structural Engineering & Building Enclosure

They specialize in structural repair/restoration, forensic engineering and building enclosure consulting. Job Description: They are looking for a Structural Engineer to join their Building Diagnostics Team, which is one of the most profitable teams across the company. You will have a strong background in structural engineering, with a focus on the investigation, evaluation, and rehabilitation of existing structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct structural design, investigation, and repair projects.
  • Perform and review structural analysis and design calculations.
  • Prepare and manage the creation of drawings and specifications.
  • Oversee and mentor CAD technicians.
  • Manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Interact with clients and prepare technical reports.
  • Conduct condition assessments and develop remedial work options and costs.
  • Implement design tasks in accordance with building code requirements.
  • Supervise construction administration tasks and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) required.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., ETABS, SAP, RISA, RAM, SAFE).
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
