RS&H is currently seeking an experienced traffic engineer to join our team in Charlotte, NC.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record leading and performing diverse and complex work in the areas of traffic engineering. This position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote. As a technical expert you will have a key role in project work, while also cultivating relationships with existing and new clients. You will work to achieve our goals of a profitable operation and a supportive and inclusive work environment.
The ideal candidate has traffic engineering expertise including:
- Capacity and Microsimulation Analysis
- Safety Studies and Crash Predictive Analysis
- Traffic Volume Development and Forecasting
- Traffic Studies
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a leader delivering traffic engineering services for NCDOT, SCDOT, City of Charlotte, and other local clients.
- Actively manage projects and discipline specific tasks including performing project management activities (project scope, schedule, budget, and quality management).
- Administer quality management plans and perform thorough, detailed reviews of project deliverables.
- Assist in marketing responsibilities, including client discovery, proposal generation, interviews, and win-to-work activities.
- People development including supervising and/or mentoring junior engineering associates.
