Responsibilities- Review requests for engineering services to determine adequacy of information.
- Review tower structures and foundations for existing, proposed, and reserved tenant configurations.
- Review mount analysis, rigging plans, construction drawings, and pre/post inspection reports.
- Conduct periodic site visits to ensure proper implementation of engineering designs.
- Work with existing processes to correctly open analysis projects.
- Perform analyses on projects of low complexity using hand calculations, structural analysis software, and other accepted methods.
- Assist in design of modifications for telecommunication infrastructure reinforcing, extensions, and foundations.
- Work with Designer staff on the development of modification drawings.
- Ensure accurate project status reporting to facilitate accurate customer and sales reporting.
- Adhere to applicable safety and OSHA procedures.
- Generate required engineering reports.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of engineering experience, including 2 years in telecom.
- Prior experience with 2D and 3D structures preferred.
- Working knowledge of structural analysis software and tower structures and design methods.
- Working knowledge of proper steel detailing.
- Working knowledge of structural components and design methods.
- Customer Service – responsive to customer needs.
- Ability to work with functional groups and employees at all levels.
- Ability to develop accurate structural modification drawings.
- Proficiency in computer software including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organization skills.
- Dependability – follows instructions and meets commitments.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required.
