Middle/High School Spanish Teacher

• Deliver Engaging Lessons: Plan and deliver dynamic, interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities while aligning with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Develop Curriculum: Collaborate with colleagues to design and develop curriculum materials, assessments, and instructional resources that promote language acquisition and cultural understanding.
• Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Utilize various formative and summative assessment strategies to evaluate student progress, provide timely feedback, and identify areas for growth.
• Differentiated Instruction: Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, ensuring all students have access to a rigorous and supportive learning environment.
• Cultural Integration: Integrate cultural components into lessons to deepen students' understanding and appreciation of Spanish‑speaking cultures around the world.
• Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning, where mutual respect, cooperation, and active participation are encouraged.
• Parent and Community Engagement: Foster open communication with parents and guardians through regular updates on student progress and participation in school events and parent‑teacher conferences. Collaborate with community resources to enhance students' language learning experiences beyond the classroom.
• Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in language instruction, pedagogy, and technology integration.
• Commitment to School Mission: Embrace and uphold the mission, vision, and values of the charter school, contributing to a collaborative and supportive school culture.

• Bachelor's degree in education, Spanish, or related field.
• Valid teaching certification/license in North Carolina preferred.
• Previous teaching experience, preferably in a charter school or diverse educational setting.
• Proficiency in Spanish (native or near‑native fluency preferred)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and parents/guardians.
• Passion for the Spanish language
