Adjunct/Part-Time Faculty;
Finance

Position in the College of Business Finance Department at UNC Charlotte. The role is temporary, part‑time, teaching undergraduate or graduate courses for one or more semesters (Summer 2025, Fall 2025, Spring 2026). Hours per week and schedule vary with course load. There are no benefits associated with this position.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and/or update the course syllabus.
  • Prepare lectures, projects, or other student assignments.
  • Meet all scheduled class periods.
  • Maintain regularly scheduled office hours.
  • Grade student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
  • Submit mid‑semester progress reports and final grades in accordance with University regulations.
Qualifications
  • Doctorate or master’s degree in Finance or a related discipline – for undergraduate teaching; doctorate/terminal degree for graduate teaching.
  • Minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline for master’s degree holders teaching undergraduates.
  • Primary consideration given to the highest earned degree; also relevant coursework, professional licensure, certifications, honors, awards, documented teaching excellence, and other achievements that contribute to student learning outcomes.
  • Official transcript of highest earned degree upon selection.
  • Subject to a criminal background check.

Pay rate varies. Position may last one or more semesters (Summer 2025, Fall 2025, Spring 2026). Applicants must comply with University regulations and requirements.
