Assistant Pastor of Music, Youth & Young Adults

We are a PCA church in a small town near Charlotte, NC. We are seeking an assistant pastor (either ordained or seeking ordination) to oversee our music ministry, youth ministry, and young adult ministry.

Responsibilities include:

• Demonstrate reverence to God through music for all worship services, including weddings and funerals held at FPC.
• Select theologically sound and inspirational music for all worship services and programs/events.
• Promote discipleship through worship:
  Identify and encourage vocalists and musicians to use their gifts to serve God.
• Promote opportunities for youth and young adults to be involved in the worship service,
• Serve as staff liaison with the A/V booth.
• Meet regularly with the Senior Pastor to plan worship services.
• Facilitate the music components of programs such as Christmas Eve, Maundy Thursday, Easter service, and Missions Conferences and any future programs approved by the Session.
• Assist the Youth Ministry Team to develop a Christ-centered vision, strategic planning, implementation of vision, and assessment of the ministry to youth, young adults, and young families.
• Identify and build relationships with young adults and youth, along with their families.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteers in the youth ministry.
• Facilitate outreach, mentoring, encouragement, Christian education, and discipleship of college students and young adults.
• Assist Youth Ministry Team in organizing and facilitating special events, mission trips, outings, and activities.
• Seek to promote connection with youth, young adults, and young families to the overall church body.
• Represent Young Adult Ministry on the Christian Education Team.
