Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Services is the world’s largest one-on-one tutoring program, assisting over 200,000 students in improving their academic performance and building self-confidence. With highly individualized instruction, sessions take place in students’ homes or other convenient locations such as schools or libraries. Club Z! serves learners of all ages, from pre-kindergarten to adult, in core subjects like reading, mathematics, science, and history, as well as foreign languages, test prep, and more.

Our team consists of experienced, degreed professionals and certified instructors with a passion for teaching and helping students succeed.

This is a part-time, on-site Tutor role based in Charlotte, NC. The Tutor will provide one-on-one instruction to students in various subjects, including reading, mathematics, science, and test preparation. Responsibilities include creating personalized lesson plans, assessing student progress, and motivating students to achieve their academic goals in a distraction-free environment. Sessions may also occur in public spaces like libraries or schools, as per the student’s preference.

• Proficiency in core academic subjects such as Mathematics, Reading, Science, and History
• Experience teaching or tutoring in areas such as Study Skills, Test Prep (e.g., SAT, ACT), and Foreign Languages
• Strong skills in lesson planning, student assessment, and individualized instruction
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills for effective engagement with students and parents
• Enthusiasm and passion for teaching with the ability to motivate and inspire students
• Possession of a degree and/or state teaching certification is preferred
• Reliable transportation to travel for on-site sessions in Charlotte, NC
