STEM and Technology Summer Camp Assistant Instructor

Job Description:

APPLY NOW TO BECOME A ROCKETEER! We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals to work as Assistant Instructors in our Summer STEM programs.

We are Black Rocket, providers of unique educational programs for children and young adults, focusing on creativity and technology through hands-on learning. Our mission is to ignite, unleash and enhance distinct talents in students.

• Teach and assist in summer STEM programs for kids aged 6-14
• Support hands-on activities in baking, science and technology
• Participate in paid online training prior to the start of summer

• Located within driving distance of one of our partner regions and reliable transportation
• Experience with children in an educational setting is preferred but not required
• Strong science or baking background with familiarity in experimentation, the scientific method, engineering concepts, creative thinking, and/or baking
• Available to start online training in May prior to the start of summer (train at your own pace via our online portal)
• Must be authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to offer accommodations or work sponsorship.
• Must be available to work a minimum of 4 weeks, Monday through Friday
• Must love working with kids

• 18 years of age or older
• College students studying education, culinary arts, biology, chemistry, engineering, or other STEM related fields encouraged to apply
• Experience with kids in a formal or informal setting is a plus, such as babysitting, volunteering, coaching, tutoring, etc.
• Rate: $13-$15/hr

• College students studying education, computer science, digital arts, information technology, or related fields encouraged to apply
• Those with strong tech or digital arts and troubleshooting skills will be most successful
• Experience with kids in a formal or informal setting is a plus, such as babysitting, volunteering, coaching, tutoring, etc.
• Rate: $13-$15/hr

• Position:
  Summer seasonal (4-10 weeks) starting in June
• In-room with kids ages 6-14
• Paid training
• We begin recruitment for summer in January; positions are filled on a rolling basis
