Alpha Schools is dismantling the lecture-and-textbook model in favor of AI-driven adaptive learning paired with peer-level mentorship. Students advance at a pace that fits them. Your role is to guide them toward discovering their own capabilities, not to deliver predetermined lessons.
We seek high-caliber individuals ready to direct that energy toward repairing a flawed educational framework. There will be no papers to grade, no rigid curriculum to follow. Instead, you ll facilitate workshops, spark curiosity, and demonstrate that education becomes boundless when students take ownership of their learning journey.
Locations- Austin: A technology epicenter featuring rich culture, green areas such as Zilker Park, a thriving culinary landscape, and over 300 sunny days annually.

What You Will Be Doing- Serving as a mentor to K-2 students, establishing trust and cultivating a mindset without limits
- Leveraging AI and adaptive learning platforms to customize educational trajectories
- Creating and facilitating life-skills workshops (such as public speaking, goal-setting, and collaboration) that equip students for sustained success
- Cultivating an environment of curiosity, ambition, and continuous development
- Supporting students in discovering their unique strengths and passions
- Available to work onsite at one of our locations:
Austin, TX;
Fort Worth, TX; or Scottsdale (Phoenix), AZ - Bachelor s degree in any discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience engaging with children ages 4–8 in educational settings, after school programs, coaching, or comparable roles
- Proven public speaking capabilities, with the ability to captivate and energize young learners
- A passion for connecting with, inspiring, and motivating K-2 students
- Authorization to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorship
- Capacity to participate in a paid training program held at our Austin, TX campus

Working with UsThis is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
