Virtual Schoool EC Teacher

Amergis Staffing is seeking a Virtual EC Teacher to come work at one of our favorite districts in the Charlotte, NC area. We are looking for someone to start ASAP and finish out the  school year.

Details:

-2025 - 26 School Year

~15 cases; high school ages

-High school content - Science/Biology and/or Social Studies

-No lesson planning, another teacher plans the lesson, you will be delivering that lesson to the kids and supporting the student

-Work will be very similar to tutoring

- Hours:

12p - 8p (37.5 per week)

Requirements:

-Must be licensed by NCDPI in EC General Curriculum (K-12)

-Will not accept out of state licensure

-Previous experience teaching high school aged students required

-Must be comfortable in Science/Biology and Social Studies

-Preferred candidates have experience teaching virtually

The Special Education Teacher, under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator provides quality services to special education students, kindergarten through grade 12. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred

• Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

• Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

• State Teacher Certification;

  Standard Secondary Teaching preferred

• State Teacher Certification;
  Type:
  Standard Special Teaching preferred

• Endorsement:
  Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
