Training Specialist

We are seeking a Technical Training professional to support instruction, planning, and alignment of Regulated and Renewable Energy (RRE) technical training programs. This role supports multiple generation technologies, with primary focus on Simple Cycle and Combined Cycle Natural Gas plants.

Travel: Up to 50% with overnight stays

Required:

Yes (personal vehicle, approximately 25%)

• Lead and support technical training programs across Simple Cycle, Combined Cycle, Solar, Battery Storage, and Hydro generation.
• Serve as the single point of contact for Simple Cycle and Combined Cycle training inquiries.
• Design, evaluate, and align training programs using a systematic approach, including the ADDIE model.
• Collaborate with site leadership, managers, supervisors, and subject matter experts to implement training and qualification programs.
• Identify skill and knowledge gaps and develop mitigation plans.
• Deliver technical training in primary and secondary disciplines.
• Conduct assessments, schedule training activities, and track participant progress.
• Stay current on industry trends, training methods, and emerging technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of related experience
• or
• High School/GED and 9+ years of related experience

• Experience with ADDIE instructional design
• Experience in Simple Cycle and/or Combined Cycle Natural Gas plant operations
• INPO certifications
• Experience with GE or Siemens gas turbines
• Knowledge of power plant operations, PLC controls, and power distribution systems
• Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
