Think back to when you first understood that traditional reading instruction wasn’t failing—it simply couldn’t replicate your expertise at scale.
At Alpha School, you’ll spearhead the development of an AI‑powered, scalable reading program that delivers more transformative progress in 2 hours than conventional schools achieve in an entire day. You’ll create adaptive workshops, examine live student performance data, and partner with engineers to develop literacy solutions that extend your influence to hundreds of learners.
This position merges direct student interaction with innovative program design, allowing you to immediately impact individual readers while constructing a system that expands foundational literacy across multiple school sites.
What You Will Be Doing- Conducting adaptive reading workshops that build foundational competencies in phonics, comprehension, and fluency.
- Creating personalized motivational experiences that resonate with children and foster a lifelong passion for reading.
- Examining student performance data to systematically improve your methods and identify actionable insights.
- Partnering with the technology team to assess and refine AI literacy tools.
- Bachelor’s degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton‑Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent).
- At least 2 years of experience conducting small‑group reading interventions with early elementary students.
- Capable of assessing reading levels, organizing students into groups, and creating differentiated instruction without reliance on pre‑written curricula.
- Experience with AI/adaptive learning tools and attentive to student behaviors within these platforms.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Working with us
This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The role is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. Compensation is $60 USD/hour, equating to $120,000 USD/year for 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year, with weekly payments. For details, consult
