Job Description

Anatomy & Physiology Faculty (part-time) located on‑site in Charlotte, NC
. The role is part of a four‑course sequence covering human anatomy and physiology using a body systems approach. Commitment is on a course‑by‑course basis.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and provide an approved syllabus that follows campus template and includes terminal course objectives.
  • Organize, prepare, and regularly revise course materials.
  • Use appropriate technology and course‑related software, including websites, e‑mail, and online discussions.
  • Model effective oral and written communication to engage students and improve learning.
  • Publish clear expectations: terminal objectives, assignment/exam dates, and weight distribution of evaluation categories.
  • Ensure exam content and level correspond to course terminal objectives.
  • Demonstrate consistency and fairness in exam preparation and grading, providing timely feedback to students.
  • Complete other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree required for all faculty positions with 18 graduate hours in the subject for undergraduate teaching.
  • Subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills.
  • Excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse, non‑traditional environment.
  • Ability to work collegially and facilitate the efforts of diverse groups.
  • Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation may apply.
Compensation

$1,120–$7,245 per assignment with adjustments as permitted by law. Actual pay may be adjusted based on job‑related factors such as type of course taught, experience, location, licensure, certifications, market factors, departmental budgets, and responsibility.
