ResponsibilitiesThe PHP (Pre‑Health Professions) Program Coordinator is essential for the implementation of the PHP 2024‑2026 grant award. The Coordinator reports directly to the Principal Investigator (PI) and the Director of the PHP 2024‑2026 Grant within the STEM College. The Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for program participants regarding Academic Year programming and associated policies, ensuring compliance with all University regulations and procedures.
The Coordinator supports participants in understanding the goals and expected outcomes of the PHP Program and provides guidance on university policies. Effective collaboration with faculty and administrators is required to provide academic advising and address educational and success needs of individual students and groups. In conjunction with the PHP faculty advisor, the Coordinator assists students, faculty, and the PI in accordance with the grant proposal guidelines and procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in natural sciences required.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel) and proven typing accuracy.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Previous experience working with health professions is beneficial.
- Flexible, customer‑service oriented, and able to work in a team‑oriented environment.
- Strong organizational skills, effective time management, keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience may also be considered.
Finalists will be subject to a background check. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation including criminal history and identity check.
