Status: Full time

Hours Per Week: 40

Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am‑4:30pm

Pay Range: $32.45 – $48.70

Location: 1601 Abbey Place, Charlotte, NC

About the Department

Join a leading team dedicated to providing advanced oral and facial care. Our department specializes in oral medicine and maxillofacial surgery, offering comprehensive treatment for conditions such as oral mucosal diseases, facial trauma, jaw reconstruction, oral pathology, and complex dental extractions. We also provide IV sedation and anesthesia support for surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

What We’re Looking For
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Active RN license in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of RN experience preferred (perioperative, oral medicine, or surgical experience a plus)
  • Experience with IV sedation monitoring strongly preferred
  • Cardiac telemetry experience preferred
What You’ll Do
  • Perform telephone triage for patients undergoing oral medicine and maxillofacial procedures
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments in a surgical outpatient setting
  • Collaborate with surgeons, oral medicine specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans
  • Assist with pre‑op and post‑op education, including pain management, wound care, and oral health instructions
  • Monitor patients under IV sedation, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and accurate documentation
  • Participate in case conferences and contribute to patient care planning
Additional Information

Strongly prefer ACLS and PALS certifications to assist with IV sedations. DANCE certification is a plus.
