Overview

A multidisciplinary architecture and design firm is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join a collaborative studio environment. This role is ideal for an experienced designer who thrives in leading projects and teams while contributing hands-on across all phases of the design process. The position combines creative leadership, technical expertise, and project and budget management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage interior design projects from programming through construction administration
  • Oversee project budgets, staffing, proposals, and schedules
  • Guide and mentor design teams, fostering a culture of design excellence and professional growth
  • Develop and present interior concepts, including FF&E, materials, color palettes, and lighting
  • Coordinate and review consultant drawings to ensure alignment with design intent and constructability
  • Conduct field verification and site documentation as required
  • Support business development initiatives and client presentations
  • Collaborate with consultants, vendors, product representatives, and fabricators
  • Contribute design support across multiple market sectors and project types
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional interior design experience
  • Strong leadership, project management, and prioritization skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Advanced experience with CAD and modeling software (e.g., Revit, Sketch Up, 3D visualization tools)
  • Familiarity with project management software preferred
  • NCIDQ certification or ability to obtain certification within one year
  • Expert knowledge of finishes, materials, furniture, and specifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate design concepts
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and participation in professional organizations
