Position Overview
:
The Project Designer role is ideal for a motivated, self‑starter who thrives within a small‑firm environment. This position offers significant opportunities for professional growth across all phases of architecture. Strong Revit skills and open communication with peers and consultants are essential. Design talent is highly valued, but technical expertise in Revit is mandatory. Candidates with experience leading projects—both internally and in client‑facing roles—are strongly preferred.
Licensure is valuable but not required. A professional architecture degree is preferred, and industry certifications are a plus.
Job Title:
Project Designer
Lead and contribute to projects through all phases of architecture. Collaborate with owners, contractors, and consultants. Communicate design intent clearly and facilitate problem solving to maintain design quality and consistency.
Qualifications- Education
:
Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) preferred; a pre‑professional degree is acceptable. Technical degree in Architectural Technology from a community college is also acceptable. - Certification & Licensing
:
Architectural licensure is desirable but not mandatory. Professional certifications such as AIA, CSI, LEED AP, WELL AP, and CPTED are encouraged. - Experience
: 5–10 years of experience managing projects through all phases, including construction administration. Proficiency in Revit required. Experience with K–12, Higher Education, and publicly funded projects preferred. - Additional Qualifications
:
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining design quality and consistency. Strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with owners, contractors, and consultants. Active involvement in professional organizations (AIA, NOMA, etc.) is encouraged.
This is a Permanent position based out of Charlotte, NC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70,000.00 - $/yr. PTO, 401K, Medical, Dental, Vision.
Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Charlotte, NC.
