Altura Architects is currently looking for a full-time Project Architect/Designer to join our collaborative studio. The ideal candidate should have two-to-five years of relevant experience, a professional Architecture degree from an accredited college or university (preferred), and be able to demonstrate a strong sense of design.
Responsibilities- Participates in the conceptual design and provides full support throughout the entire project, including design reviews and team meetings
- Prepares design documentation for permit and construction
- Maintains awareness of project budgets, schedules, and deliverables and may perform other project management tasks, as required
- Develops presentation materials including renderings, diagrams, and drawings
- Creates graphic materials for the purpose of marketing and award submissions
- Coordinates with internal team members to ensure design intent is maintained
- Assists with Construction Administration tasks such as responses for information, submittal review, site visits and field observations
- Participates in an area of firm operations
- Stays informed of design trends, materials, and technologies relevant to the firm’s work, and of relevant building science and sustainable practices
- Proficiency in BIM software, Archi
CAD preferred - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Twinmotion, and/or other architectural rendering programs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace programs
- Strong architectural design and graphic design abilities
- Both verbal (example: client presentations) and written (example: email) communication skills
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to balance priorities through problem-solving and critical thinking
- Knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methods is a plus
