The Person al Lines Customer Service Representative Trainee is responsible for maintaining and maximizing profitable relationships with personal lines clients and for growing the book of business through new client sales, meeting and exceeding Agency sales goals, service, and quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or comparable work experience.
  • Goal orientated relationship builder who enjoys selling great products to protect clients and their assets
  • Service minded sales professional who enjoys meeting clients need and ensure coverages are set up correctly and expectations are exceeded
  • Possess strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills with the ability to close sales.
  • Demonstrate strong customer focus and an excellent phone manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent math and reading skills to accurately perform simple calculations.
  • Skilled in handling difficult customer phone calls and solve complex problems without direct supervision.
  • Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
  • Technology and Computer proficiency including agency management systems, our office is highly automated.
  • Ability to obtain North Carolina Property and Liability Insurance licenses.
Personal Lines Customer Service Representative Trainee

Responsibilities

  • Provide service to existing clients: updating policies, quoting, taking payments, answering questions, providing documentation, answering phones, greeting visitors and assisting with mail.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries (phone, online, walk-in) and gather all necessary information on quote sheet.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop personal insurance opportunities with new clients in person, online, by phone, and through written communication.
  • Actively solicit increases in coverage or rounding out accounts at every service contact.
  • Resolve issues by clarifying the customer's concern, determining the cause of the issue, selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the issue, expediting correction or adjustment, following up to ensure resolution.
  • Network and prospect for new clients, including win backs.
  • Obtain best coverage/rate for insured, process quotes, and bind insurance coverage
  • Present policies to insured and educate them on coverages and rates.
  • Set appointments and/or client calls to review existing policies, revise liability limits, explore other coverage needs, evaluate replacement costs, round out accounts, and bind renewals.
  • Maintain records of customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, comments, and actions taken in the agency management system.
  • Follow Agency processes and procedures in the day-to-day operations of the agency
