Construction Estimator

Atlas Connections has partnered with a reputable general contractor with a strong track record in commercial construction. They are seeking a dedicated Estimator to join their growing team and serve as the critical link between business development and construction operations during the pre-construction phase.

As the Estimator, you will lead the pre-construction effort from project inception through turnover to the operations team. You'll be responsible for ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to established procedures throughout the estimating process.

• Develop precise estimates and competitive bids for construction projects
• Perform self-led take-offs to gather necessary data for bids
• Review construction plans, specifications, and related documents
• Assess project sites to collect data for estimates on renovations and modifications to existing buildings
• Propose solutions tailored to client-specific needs
• Utilize estimating software to produce accurate bids and estimates
• Collaborate closely with business development efforts
• Mentor and support other members of the pre-construction team
• Contribute to the development of internal tools and procedures

• Strong math proficiency including algebra and geometry
• Advanced knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and construction disciplines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
• Highly detail-oriented and organized
• 5–10+ years of experience in construction, including work with multi-level structures, multiple division scopes, and varied project types
• A proactive attitude and enthusiasm for taking on new challenges
