Construction Estimator

Siteworks LLC is currently hiring for the position of construction estimator. The ideal candidate for this job would be someone with a background in heavy civil construction (i.e. grading, site utilities, site concrete, asphalt paving), primarily with an emphasis on preconstruction responsibilities.

• Studying documentation, meeting with clients and inspecting the construction site to fully understand what work is required.
• Develops bids for construction projects. Including solicitation of key vendors and subcontractors.
• Following up on bids with clients and closing deals to contract.
• Works closely with general contractors, land developers, civil engineers, and other professionals.
• Navigates and understands land development codes for government agencies throughout the region.

• The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in a civil engineering field and/or construction management, but it is not a requirement.
• 5+ Years experience in the construction field preferred.
• Strong math skills including geometry, and basic arithmetic.
• Software skills in MS Excel, Bluebeam, Agtek, and MS Project are encouraged, but not mandatory.
• Ability to navigate specifications and plans.
• Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.
• Close attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This is an immediate opening with the potential to start right away. This employee would be required to work in a local office environment. Primary area of work includes the greater Charlotte metropolitan area (+/- 60 mile radius).
