On‑Site Project Manager

We are looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented On‑Site Project Manager. This team member will coordinate on‑site activities and communications to provide a safe, high‑quality project that meets or exceeds our customers' expectations. The team member will be the single point of contact on the job site for customers, interacting with the general contractor, steel erector and miscellaneous steel provider to coordinate work and deliveries.

This is a 100% travel position with temporary assignments to various project sites during steel erection.

My client is a historic structural steel fabricator targeting large commercial, educational, medical, and municipal projects from 1K‑20K tons. They operate along the entire east coast and as far west as Illinois and Indiana.

• Oversee subcontractors' activities at the job site
• Report on progress at the job site
• Coordinate communication between the subcontractors at the job site and the project manager
• Problem‑solve issues to maintain schedule
• Attend job‑site meetings with the general contractor – acting as company representative
• Identify and raise issues before they become critical
• Coordinate deliveries and receipt of products at the job site

• Project Management training and/or experience
• Working knowledge of computers and computer software, including Microsoft Office applications
• Working knowledge of structural steel related codes and specifications
• Working knowledge of OSHA's standard for construction safety
• Experience working for or with structural steel erectors

Bachelor's degree in a construction‑focused field, OR 5 years of experience in the steel construction industry or related field.
