Lead Superintendent – Multifamily Construction
Stoa Construction is hiring a Lead Superintendent (one per project) to lead the field execution of large, ground-up multifamily projects in multiple active and upcoming $55M - $60M multifamily projects across North Carolina and regional area. Current openings include:
- Greenville, NC - The Flats at Greenville - 312 units
- Mecklenburg, NC - The Waters at Robinwood - 288 units
- Fayetteville, NC - The Waters at Fayetteville - 312 units
This role is for an experienced superintendent who knows how to run a job, brings steady leadership to the field, keeps work moving, and leads trades effectively.
Our projects are $50M+ ground-up multifamily developments, primarily wood-frame. As an owner-operator, we control development, construction, and property management, giving our teams clear visibility into what's coming next. You'll step in at early site work, inherit a fully awarded and permitted project, and focus on execution in the field.
This is a one-project-at-a-time role. We believe strong results come from focus, accountability, and follow-through.
What You'll Be Responsible For- Lead day-to-day field execution for a $50M+ ground-up multifamily project, from early site work through completion
- Execute the project schedule in the field and proactively solve issues before they impact progress
- Coordinate and hold subcontractors accountable across multiple buildings
- Maintain a clean, safe, well-run jobsite with strong attention to quality and detail
- Partner closely with the Project Manager and Field Team to keep the project on track and moving forward
- Strong working knowledge of jobsite safety practices and OSHA requirements.
- 5+ years of experience in multifamily or commercial construction, including lead or advanced superintendent responsibilities
- Experience running ground-up projects (wood-frame preferred)
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety, sequencing, and subcontractor management
- Ability to execute an established plan while adapting quickly when conditions change
- Clear communicator with sound judgment and field presence
- Comfortable working in a tech-enabled construction environment, including tools like Procore and Microsoft-based systems
