- Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project goals and commercial regulations.
- Oversee the selection, negotiation, and management of subcontractors for commercial projects.
- Ensure compliance with various regulatory conditions.
- Coordinate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and review subcontractor agreements, ensuring all terms and conditions are met.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor subcontractor work and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Manage subcontractor invoicing and payment processes.
- Provide regular reports on subcontractor performance and project status to senior management.
- Exercise proper judgment to engage with Aecon's legal advisors to seek advice at the appropriate times.
- 5-8 years' experience supporting an industrial, engineering, nuclear or construction business.
- A Bachelor's degree.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial construction contracting terms and regulations.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with SAP and other project management software and tools.
- Previous experience working directly with multiple legal experts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.).
