Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead the coordination, installation, and execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems on commercial construction projects. This role ensures timely delivery, budget compliance, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise all MEP construction activities, ensuring proper coordination with overall project schedules.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve design conflicts.
- Develop and implement project work schedules, identify critical paths, and expedite material and equipment delivery.
- Manage site safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and regulations.
- Oversee quality control, logistics, and staffing levels for all trades.
- Act as liaison with inspection agencies and manage General Conditions and Requirements to maintain budget.
- Handle billing processes, including estimates, payroll, material invoices, and subcontractor payments.
- Ensure all work complies with approved contract documents and industry standards.
- Collaborate with Estimating/Preconstruction Teams on scheduling, logistics, safety, and constructability reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in MEP construction, preferably in a superintendent or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of MEP systems, blueprints, specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Experience with commercial upfit, interior renovations, and MEP system installation preferred.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, PMP, or similar are a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
