Overview

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating equipment in a safe and effective manner on jobsites. Heavy equipment may include, but is not limited to: front-end loaders, trackhoe, bulldozer, GPS dozer, roller, off-road truck, mini-excavator, excavator, skidsteer. Other duties may be assigned based on specific job needs.

Key Duties
  • Ability to enter and exit heavy machinery while maintaining three points of contact, awareness of surroundings, and multi-limb coordination
  • Knowledge and appreciation of heavy equipment safety and operation
  • Daily maintenance of equipment to remain in proper and safe operation
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow Foremen's instructions to ensure schedules are met
  • Flexibility with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes
  • Ability to follow traffic control instructions
  • Properly follow all Company policies and procedures for safe working conditions
  • Flexibility with schedule changes, location changes, time of shift changes
Requirements
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry 50+ lbs
  • Preferred: 2+ years' experience as a heavy equipment operator
