Manager, Inventory - Transport will be responsible for managing Flygt inventory levels for North America. This role is integrated into the Flygt business, working closely with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service to ensure optimal delivery lead times while achieving inventory targets.

Core Responsibilities- Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service to understand customer lead time requirements and incorporate them into the inventory strategy.
- Position Flygt lead times as a competitive advantage and enabler in achieving aggressive revenue growth targets.
- Manage Global Inventory Management (GIM) system parameters to ensure stocking levels are based on accurate demand and lead times.
- Make data-driven recommendations on inventory strategies (i.e. locations, resources, packaging, etc.).
- Drive reduction of parts lead times used in aftermarket repairs. Work with Operations to identify root causes and corrective actions of inventory delays.
- Provide inventory forecasts and variance analysis to Finance monthly.
- Support initiatives to minimize tariff exposure on North American imports.
- Support new product introductions and market expansions with proactive inventory planning.
- Partner with IT and data teams to enhance inventory visibility and reporting tools.
- Support annual standard cost updates.
- Partner with distribution centers (DCs) to identify slow movers and obsolete stock for returns, redistribution or scrapping.
- Partner with SIOP functions to incorporate forward looking forecasts into inventory requirements.
The position reports directly to the Head of Planning NA. Additional duties and responsibilities may be required based on organizational needs.
Qualifications- 10+ years related experience working with international industrial manufacturing.
- Previous experience managing a team is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field; APICS or CPIM certification preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of inventory concepts and best practices.
- Experience with Continuous Improvement projects and tools.
- Prior experience in GIM and/or SAP preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to communicate analysis to leadership.
- Strong leadership, supervisory, prioritization and communication skills (written and verbal) to define, develop, and enforce initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Quote for Service.

The estimated salary range for this position is $110,000 to $120,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. Xylem offers a competitive compensation package with a generous benefits package, including Medical, Dental, Vision plans, 401(k) with company contribution, paid time off, paid parental leave and tuition reimbursement.
