Compliance Manager, Reporting Governance and Quality Controls (Remote – Charlotte)

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and propose enhancements to reporting documentation, including standards, procedures, job aids, and other materials to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and own the review cycle process for all reporting documentation to ensure timely updates.
  • Document the interaction model between the Reporting team and other stakeholders, ensuring clear responsibilities and alignment.
  • Support the quality control function by building and enhancing reporting checklists and reviewing quantitative and qualitative board and management reporting information.
  • Execute quality controls on board and management reporting, develop action plans for gaps, and ensure resolution.
  • Provide quality control results in response to audit requests and review audit responses for consistency and clarity.
  • Create and deliver training to the reporting team and other teams on updates to reporting standards, procedures, and quality control.
  • Continuously enhance reporting documentation, quality‑control processes, and interaction models while exploring automation opportunities.

  • Highly seasoned professional with extensive knowledge in a complex field and related areas.
  • Integrates enterprise strategy to develop cross‑functional solutions.
  • Interprets business challenges and industry environment, recommending best practices.
  • Acts as a technical expert, may manage specialist teams.

  • Manages end‑to‑end functional programs independently.
  • Uses sophisticated analytical thinking to exercise judgment and identify solutions.
  • Influences senior stakeholders to gain alignment.
  • Works autonomously as lead and guides others within the field of expertise.
Education & Experience
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in a relevant compliance, risk management, audit, or related role.
Preferred Skills
  • Strong executive written and verbal communication skills focused on messaging, clarity, and precision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio).
  • Effective stakeholder management across different compliance groups.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and critical thinking.
  • Ability to recommend process improvements and automation.
  • Familiarity with Power

    BI and Tableau is a plus.
Customer Accountabilities
  • Collaborate with compliance partners, legal, and risk to support the creation of documentation and reports required by external regulators and internal groups.
  • Lead development of team procedures and governance processes, advising stakeholders of changes and enhancements.
  • Provide governance oversight through policy and training exemption processes to the compliance senior executive team.
  • Assist team members in using the Issues and Events system for tracking and reporting.
  • Prepare summaries, presentations, and briefing notes to report on the status of the compliance program.
  • Represent CGO on internal or external committees and on enterprise‑wide regulatory change initiatives.
