JELD-WEN is currently seeking a IT Business Analyst Intern to join our growing team.

Long Description

THE ROLE

As an IT Business Analyst Intern, you will play a key role in supporting JELD‑WEN’s ongoing efforts to improve operational and supply chain performance. We are seeking a motivated, detail‑oriented individual who is eager to learn and help drive meaningful business outcomes.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with operations, supply chain teams, and product owners to identify business challenges and develop data‑driven solutions. You will be responsible for gathering and documenting business, functional, and non‑functional requirements, as well as creating clear and concise user epics and stories.

The Business Analyst Intern will serve as an essential link between our scrum teams and business partners, working alongside the team to refine, prioritize, and manage the product backlog. This position offers hands‑on experience in modern product development practices and provides a strong foundation for a career in business analysis or product management.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with business stakeholders to understand and document business needs, challenges, and goals.
  • Liaison & Communication:
    Act as the link between business units and technical teams.
  • Testing & Implementation:
    Assist with testing, validation, and implementation of new systems, ensuring they meet requirements and deliver value.
  • Change Management:
    Help manage the adoption of new systems and processes, ensuring smooth transitions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Communication: clear writing, confident speaking, and active listening.
  • Problem Solving and Critical Thinking:
    Able to analyze issues, assess current-state system designs, identify gaps, collaborate with the team to develop solution options, and support the selection and implementation of the final solution.
  • Adaptability: flexibility to learn new tools and processes and adapt to business changes.
  • Organizational skills:
    Demonstrated ability to document clearly, manage task lists effectively, communicate task progress and completion reliably, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Able to identify inefficiencies in business and IT processes, recommend enhancements, and drive implementation of improvements.
  • Commitment to continued personal/professional development.
Education and Experience
  • Currently enrolled rising junior or senior students major in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related fields.
