Summary

The Senior Sourcing Specialist is a key member of Weisiger Group’s Procurement & Sourcing Group (PSG), responsible for independently executing competitive sourcing events, negotiating supplier agreements, and driving measurable value across multiple indirect spend categories. As Weisiger Group continues its procurement transformation—shifting from decentralized purchasing to a more strategic, category-led operating model—this role plays a critical part in translating strategy into disciplined execution.

In addition to leading sourcing activities, the role actively manages vendor onboarding, compliance, and purchasing execution in SAP for assigned categories, while supporting broader strategic sourcing and category initiatives across the enterprise.

This position requires a proactive, self-starting professional who takes ownership, partners effectively with stakeholders, and thrives in a fast-evolving environment. The Senior Sourcing Specialist ensures procurement strategies align with business objectives by delivering cost savings, mitigating risk, consolidating suppliers, and reinforcing governance and compliance standards.

Essential Functions
  • Own assigned categories and sub-categories end-to-end, executing sourcing events, RFx development, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and award recommendations, while tracking implementation progress and realized savings.
  • Drive category performance and optimization through spend analysis, supplier consolidation, cost reduction and avoidance, specification standardization, and ongoing category-level reporting on spend under management, supplier performance, and contract utilization.
  • Partner with business stakeholders and suppliers to align sourcing strategies to operational needs, service levels, and compliance standards, including participation in supplier reviews and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Actively manage procurement ticket intake for assigned categories, including vendor onboarding, compliance, and SAP vendor master data; evaluate new supplier requests against sourcing strategy and risk; and manage new and existing POs and master data updates to ensure compliant, timely execution.
  • Other duties as assigned.
