Sterling seeks highly motivated candidates who are interested in developing a solid understanding of the inner workings of the investment management business. This position resides within the firm’s Client Service and Analytics Team and will grant you exposure to many areas of the business including business development, client service, marketing, portfolio management, operations and compliance.
Job StatementThis position is responsible for coordinating Sterling’s service delivery to the firm’s intermediary clients. Provide the client strategy teams with business development support and work with the firm’s intermediary strategists to service existing business and facilitate new business.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAct as the central point of contact for all incoming client onboardings at the intermediary level and any maintenance of the investment advisory agreement. These requests include the following:
- Coordinating contract details with Sterling legal and the client for various contract types and asset classes
- Assisting in any due diligence related to the onboarding of a new intermediary client
- Processing any amendments to the investment advisory agreement to add or remove products
- Spearheading ad hoc projects with internal teams
- Facilitate communication with current and potential clients
- Peer review teammates work in order to provide exceptional client service
- Act as a main point of contact for client strategists to onboard new intermediary sponsor
- Initial escalation point for day-to-day client requests and account maintenance

- University degree, college diploma or relevant working experience
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
- Articulate with excellent interpersonal skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Solid computer skills with ability to learn and proficiently use several software packages, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and experience working under strict deadlines
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently but also with diverse individuals/groups
- Must be an effective multi-tasker
- Prefer experience with Archer, Salesforce and Fact Set
- Prefer background in the financial industry
- Four year bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance
- Preferred pursuit or completion of FINRA licenses (Series 6, 7, 63, 65, or 66)
