Job Summary

Compass Group is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to drive growth, client excellence, and strengthen our footprint across Military and Government channels. This role sits at the intersection of sales, operations, field support, and long-range strategic planning. The ideal candidate understands how decisions move through command structures and acquisition pathways and brings the emotional intelligence needed to build trust across complex stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities
  • Expand Compass Group’s presence across Military and Government sectors through disciplined business development, targeted outreach, and structured relationship management.
  • Build a pipeline rooted in market intelligence, emerging requirements, funding cycles, and program-level insights.
  • Shape strategy for new opportunities in Military and Government market by assessing mission needs, capability gaps, and operational requirements.
  • Create solutions to meet client requirements, guide clients through solution development, proposal refinement, and contract progression, ensuring alignment with federal and DoD acquisition norms.
  • Establish strong cross-functional leadership relationships with operations, finance, support, and resource teams to ensure a regular cadence of communication and high levels of execution of military and government accounts.
  • Provide accurate forecasting, performance tracking, and reporting to inform leadership decisions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market assessments and competitive analysis tailored to government and defense environments.
  • Engage with installations, commands, agencies, and contracting communities to build awareness of Compass Group capabilities.
  • Collaborate with culinary, operations, strategic projects, and finance teams to create responsive, mission-aligned solutions.
  • Participate in briefings, capability discussions, and program reviews.
  • Engage with military clients to maximize operational alignment with client expectations, attend quarterly business reviews and lead client excellence initiatives.
  • Support contract transitions and onboarding to ensure readiness, continuity, and client satisfaction.
What Success Looks Like
  • A military background that brings an instinctive understanding of mission cadence, hierarchy, procurement processes, and organizational culture.
  • High emotional intelligence that supports clear communication, relationship maintenance, and steady navigation of complex or politically sensitive environments.
  • Strong sales planning and forecasting discipline grounded in real intelligence—market shifts, competition mapping, and program life cycles.
  • Credibility with senior leaders and decision-makers; confident presenting to commands, agencies, and cross-functional stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to translate mission requirements into Compass Group capabilities and build solutions that are operationally relevant.
  • A steady, adaptive approach when working across multiple priorities, timelines, and internal teams.
What We Offer
  • A role that directly supports the readiness and well-being of military and government communities.
  • Visibility with senior Compass Group leadership and the opportunity to shape long-range strategy in a critical growth sector.
  • Competitive compensation with full benefits and performance incentives.
