About the Opportunity
A global leader in the low-voltage and network infrastructure industry is seeking a Senior Product Manager – Wired Networking to lead one of its fastest-growing product categories. This person will drive the overall strategy, growth, and lifecycle management of a diverse wired networking portfolio that includes switches, routers, gateways, structured cabling, Power over Ethernet (PoE) solutions, and connectivity components. This role is ideal for a hands‑on, commercially minded product leader with a deep understanding of wired networking products and the integrator/distribution channel.
The position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact—guiding product strategy, building vendor partnerships, and influencing go‑to‑market success for an organization with an established national footprint and strong brand reputation.
- Lead the product strategy, roadmap, and performance for the wired networking category, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives.
- Manage the full product lifecycle—from roadmap planning and vendor selection to pricing, profitability, and end‑of‑life decisions.
- Serve as the primary interface to vendor partners, managing relationships, negotiating programs and pricing, and collaborating on product introductions.
- Partner cross‑functionally with sales, marketing, and operations to develop and execute go‑to‑market plans, sales enablement tools, and promotional strategies.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify opportunities for growth, margin improvement, and portfolio expansion.
- Act as the subject matter expert for wired networking and connectivity solutions, supporting internal teams and key customers.
- Previous industry or product experience is required. Candidates must have hands‑on experience with wired networking or low‑voltage connectivity products—such as switches, routers, PoE, or structured cabling.
- 7+ years of experience in product management, category management, or business leadership within the networking, connectivity, or low‑voltage distribution sectors.
- Proven success managing product portfolios, vendor relationships, and go‑to‑market initiatives in a B2B or channel‑driven environment.
- Strong technical understanding of wired networking hardware, Ethernet infrastructure, and connectivity standards.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work cross‑functionally across sales, marketing, supply chain, and vendor teams.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required with equivalent professional experience.
- Opportunity to own and grow a key product category with high visibility across the business.
- Partner with industry‑leading networking and technology brands to bring innovative solutions to market.
- Collaborative, fast‑paced environment where product leaders have the autonomy to drive results.
- Competitive compensation, performance incentives, and opportunities for long‑term advancement.
This role is built for a career product professional—not an entry‑level marketer or generalist. The ideal candidate is someone who knows the networking and connectivity space inside and out, thrives on balancing strategy with execution, and understands how to drive product success through vendor partnerships, pricing strategy, and go‑to‑market excellence.
If you’ve managed networking or connectivity hardware within a distribution, integration, or manufacturer environment, and want to lead a high‑growth product category, we’d love to connect.
