Independent Advisor Alliance (IAA) is seeking a relationship-focused, detail-oriented, and proactive Relationship Manager to join our team. This role will be critical in supporting and enhacning the relationships between IAA and its partner advisor firms. This role will support the Chief Experience Officer serving as a point of contact for advisors, ensuring their needs are met, and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the financial services industry, specifically the independent advisor community. In addition, the ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills with a willingness and ability to take ownership of their job responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Relationship Building:- Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with our financial advisor partners to understand their vision, needs, goals, and challenges.
- Serve as the primary lead for the integrated service team supporting our partner firms.
- Provide support for advisors utilizing IAA’s platforms and programs by assisting with questions, data entry, and troubleshooting. This includes monitoring platform functionality and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to work with partner firms to support the Vision for their business.
- Ability to research and deliver reporting as well as a strong ability to analyze business needs.
- Collaborating with other key internal business partners, specifically within the Business Development and operations team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to cultivate strong working partnerships internally as well as externally.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in relationship management, preferably within financial services.
- Familiarity with advisor platforms and custodians (e.g., Fidelity, LPL, Charles Schwab) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of the RIA industry and the financial advisory business models.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic familiarity with CRM or operations software (Hubspot is a plus).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to think strategically and possess strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a customer-focused approach.
- Series 7 and Series 66 (or equivalent) licenses are preferred but not required.
