This is a remote volunteer position as the Chief Business Officer for SSS/NBNA HBCU initiatives. In this role, you will manage business development strategies, oversee financial planning and sustainability, and provide strategic consulting to extend the impact of SSS’s partnerships with HBCUs and nonprofits. Key responsibilities include analyzing market trends, identifying innovative solutions for organizational growth, and collaborating with leadership to guide the vision and strategy for equity-focused initiatives.
Qualifications- Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate data and trends for informed decision-making
- Proficiency in Finance to support budgeting, revenue forecasting, and financial management
- Experience in Business Development to identify growth opportunities and create sustainable plans
- Background in Consulting or Management Consulting, with the ability to provide strategic guidance and support clients
- Proven leadership and communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams and diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with nonprofit organizations and HBCU ecosystems is highly beneficial
- Commitment to equity and a mission-driven approach
