Civil Construction - Contracts and Purchasing Manager

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in supply chain management and 15+ years prior experience in procurement, supply chain management and inventory management
• Construction industry experience preferred
• Advanced knowledge of accounting, financial management, and business contract law required
• International purchasing experience is a plus

• Ability to research and analyze various types of data, including financial analysis
• Ability to use judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations and laws
• Ability to organize and prioritize work
• Possesses good understanding of Supply Chain Management processes and procedures
• Ability to identify, develop and implement process improvements in sourcing and supply management
• Manages the entire purchasing process from start to finish, including:
  • Conducting initial research with the end-user
  • Communicating with potential suppliers
  • Negotiating terms of purchasing agreement
  • Issuing purchase order(s)
  • Monitoring the delivery status and receipt of goods
• Effectively purchases consumable goods (safety supplies, hand tools, etc.), construction materials (concrete, rebar, PT, etc.), equipment (generators, concrete buckets, etc.), and services (rental equipment) at a national level in order to maximize profits. This includes:
  • Standardizing items as much as possible among the regions, in order to improve purchasing power by buying in bulk.
