Overview

Position Summary

The Procurement Operations Lead is responsible for administrative operations related to the Procure-to-Pay process. They will drive the process and improvements for timely transacting of orders with suppliers. This role places a strong emphasis on organization and internal customer service to support the flow of goods and services to Ferroglobe sites. The Procurement Operations Lead will also provide support in data analytics to the Director of Procurement and Indirects Category Manager for improved awareness of Ferroglobe spend profiles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative management of Purchasing Operations, including the daily creation of Purchase Orders for categories outside of Raw Materials.
  • Partner with Ferroglobe Site Buyers and Vendor Internal Sales to communicate areas of opportunity for process improvement and efficiency.
  • Play an active role in the tracking and reporting of spend information for further analysis.
  • Review and upgrade ERP needs, working in close collaboration with Buyers and Category Managers to assess needs.
  • Engagement with Accounts Payable Department to support when necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field. Equivalent experience considered.
  • 2+ years of procurement or purchasing experience for a manufacturing or industrial company.
  • Experience with SAP required.
  • Experience with other procurement systems (e.g., Ariba) preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally with teams.
