Day to Day Responsibilities / Project Specifics

This Process Execution Analyst will sit on a team within the Supply Chain organization. The team is responsible for standardizing the purchase order process to ensure a lack of redundancy, that orders are not placed in massive quantities, that controlled products are not being ordered by groups without authorization, and that discontinued products are not being purchased. Metrics and goals are aligned to many of the products, including weeks of supply and min/max levels.

A background in inventory best practices is helpful. The analyst will also handle compliance related to purchase order changes—ensuring that when an order is changed it still meets the company needs. Decision trees guide the analyst’s decisions. The team has a 60% rejection rate and has saved the company over $80 million, reflecting a substantial shift in company process over recent years.

People who previously ordered anything are now challenged. This role also involves copious communication to help the business understand and solve inventory challenges.
