Position SummaryThe Automotive Technician will learn and develop foundational skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles under the guidance of experienced technicians. Your responsibilities will include routine inspections, vehicle assessments, and repair procedures, and you may interact with customers to explain maintenance tasks and answer questions. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality workmanship in a fast‑paced environment.
Pay Range: $17.00 – $25.50 per hour. Technicians receive a performance‑based flat‑rate compensation model that rewards each completed task.
Responsibilities- Change oil and perform scheduled maintenance services.
- Conduct inspections of steering, suspension, and brake systems.
- Install batteries and check electrical systems.
- Perform tire maintenance and alignments.
- Install parts and components.
- Conduct road test vehicles.
- Obtain or maintain A.S.E. certifications in at least one of A1–A8 within the first two years. Tests and registration fees are paid by the company; bonuses are awarded for each test passed.
- Ability to learn basic mechanical tasks.
- Valid automobile driver’s license and capability to drive customer and company vehicles.
- Basic understanding of general automotive maintenance & tire repair services, including oil changes, inspections, and tire repairs.
- Reading, writing, and math skills.
- Two years of automotive repair experience or completion of a vocational‑technical school program or equivalent certification.
- A.S.E. certification or equivalent external qualifications.
- Medical, dental, and vision coverage starting day 1.
