Automotive Technician - Technician B

Position Overview

We are seeking a mechanically inclined automotive technician to perform routine scheduled maintenance and basic repair services on automobiles and trucks in our AAA Car Care facilities.

Exempt/Non Exempt: Hourly

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures as outlined on repair orders.
• Complete fluid exchanges, alignments, brake services, advanced repair and maintenance services, etc.
• Drive vehicles into the service bay, prepare for and complete digital vehicle inspections.
• Test drive vehicles and prepare them for delivery to customers after necessary repairs or maintenance.
• Keep the shop clean and organized to ensure a positive member or customer experience.
• Work with, mentor and train less experienced technicians.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or technical school certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• Three years or more of experience repairing vehicles at a dealership or automotive center.
• Knowledgeable about automotive and truck systems, tools and mechanical resources, able to independently perform a variety of basic repairs and maintenance.
• Proficient in proper use of equipment and tools, maintaining a clean, safe, organized work area.
• Consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service scores.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ase certifications including A4-Suspension & Steering, A5-Brakes, plus two other ASE certifications.
• State inspection certificate where applicable.
• AC 609 Certification.

Work Environment

• Loud noises and odors intermittently in the shop environment.
• Position requires standing, walking and normal physical mobility, including reaching, grabbing, lifting and carrying parts up to approximately 80 pounds.
• Must have own tools appropriate for skill level.
• Must be able to work in heat; fans are present.
• Must maintain working on feet in a concrete facility for entire shift.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay rates starting at $45,000 annual (hourly rate plus productivity bonus for hours produced over 3.0 per week plus annual bonus eligibility).
